
RULES AND TERMS
1. Compliance with Submission Requirements
All entrants must read, understand, and comply with all submission eligibility information, Submission Guidelines, Terms and Conditions of Entry, and Entry Eligibility requirements.
2. Accuracy of Information
All information provided in the submission must be accurate and true to the best of the entrant's knowledge.
3. No Ongoing or Threatened Litigation
Films submitted must not be subject to any ongoing or threatened litigation.
4. Authorization to Submit
Only authorized individuals or organizations may submit films to the festival
5. Liability for Damage
Entrants hold Issaquah Film Festival and Tarot 77 Productions harmless for any damage to prints or tapes during shipping or while in the festival’s possession.
6. Music Rights
Entrants must have full rights to use any music included in the submitted film.
7. Non-Refundable Entry Fees
Once an entry payment has been processed, it is non-refundable. Any disputed payments may incur additional fees.
8. Promotional Use of Submitted Content
Issaquah Film Festival and Tarot 77 Productions are granted the right to use stills, titles, copy, and/or information from the submitted film for promotional purposes.
9. Labeling of Submission Materials
The entrant’s name, address, and the production's title must be clearly labeled on each case, videotape, or DVD submitted.
10. Shipping and Submission Format
If a film is invited to participate, it must be shipped prepaid, insured, and in proper containers or submitted online per festival requirements. Detailed instructions will be provided upon selection.
11. Liability for Improperly Shipped Containers
Issaquah Film Festival and Tarot 77 Productions are not responsible for damage to films due to improper shipping containers.
12. Granting Rights for Promotional Excerpts
Entrants grant Issaquah Film Festival and Tarot 77 Productions the right to use excerpts from any accepted film for promotional purposes. The individual or organization submitting the film must be authorized to commit the film for screening and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Issaquah Film Festival and Tarot 77 Productions from any claims or liabilities arising from copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, or loss/damage to materials.

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES
Student
Films made by youth aged 18 or younger at the time of completion. Any genre.
Issaquah Resident
Filmmakers of any age who live within the City of Issaquah may submit to this special discounted catergory. A film of any genre may be submitted.
Narrative Short
Any narrative live-action film under 40 minutes.
Documentary/PSA Short
Any documentary or public service announcement film under 40 minutes.
Animated Short
Any form of animation under 40 minutes.
Experimental Short
Any film that is unconventional to the traditional method of filmmaking which is under 40 minutes.
Music Video
Any music video under 40 minutes. Music must be used with the permission of the artist and properly licensed.
Feature Film
A feature film of any genre that is more than 40 minutes in length can be submitted.

FAQ
1. Can I submit my film after the deadline?
Unfortunately, films cannot be submitted after the deadline. Be sure to submit your film by the required date to be considered.
2. Are waiver fees available for film submissions?
Waiver fees are available under extenuating circumstances. If you believe you qualify, please contact us at tarot77productions@gmail.com for further information.
3. What is the film submission process?
Films can be submitted through FilmFreeway. Simply create an account, upload your film, and fill out the necessary information to submit your entry. For full guidelines, check the Submission Guidelines page.
4. Do I need to provide a physical copy of my film?
No, a physical copy is not required. All films must be submitted online through FilmFreeway. If selected, you may be required to send a high-quality digital file for screening purposes.
5. What are the eligibility requirements for film submissions?
Films must meet the Eligibility criteria, including length, format, production year, and region. Refer to the Rules and Terms section for full details.
6. How are films selected for the festival?
Films are selected based on their creativity, storytelling, and overall impact. A team of panelists will evaluate submissions and make the final selections.

Absolutely! The Issaquah Film Festival is open to everyone. Whether you're a film enthusiast, a member of the community, or just curious, all are welcome to attend and enjoy the films.
8. Is there an age limit for filmmakers submitting their work?
No, there is no age limit for filmmakers. We encourage creators of all ages to submit their work and showcase their talent.
9. What happens if my film is selected for screening?
If your film is selected, you will be contacted with additional details on the screening format, schedule, and promotional requirements.
10. Can I promote my film at the festival?
Yes! Filmmakers are encouraged to share promotional materials and engage with audiences. The festival offers opportunities for networking and community engagement.
